Music Philosophy Mission Statement
Music education is much more than teaching students how to read notes on a piece of paper. Music is an art form that surrounds everybody and embraces all the cultures in the world, and everybody should learn how to understand and appreciate the music they here. I want to help students find and develop their love of music so that they will be able to enjoy music for their entire lives.
I would use the word everyone instead of everybody--it's a bit more formal. I think you could leave off the first sentence and be complete.
