“Johnny Works With One Hammer”
• Objective: Children will be able to sing along with teacher to song
• Re-introduce teacher “Good morning! My name is Kelsey”
• Introduce and remind the children of how to count to five.
• “I know you all have been learning how to count. Can we count to five together? 1-2… Good! Today I am going to teach you a song that we can all count together in!”
o Have class count with teacher together
o Change seating position so that they can use their feet and arms.
 Show picture of hammer. “Do you know what this is?”
 How do you work with a hammer?
• Teacher sings entire first and second phrase
o Asks children to sing together
o If possible copy motions
• Teacher starts singing entire song
o Asks students to join in singing when comfortable.
• Teacher sings song again but asks takes note of motions
o Shows children particular motions
o Asks children to follow and copy
